Solomon Islands’ most prestigious business awards event will now take place on Saturday 30th November 2019. The venue remains unchanged at the Coral Sea Resort and starting from 6pm.

There has been a date change to the upcoming 2019 Business Excellence Awards.

Solomon Islands’ most prestigious business awards event will now take place on Saturday 30th November 2019. The venue remains unchanged at the Coral Sea Resort and starting from 6pm.

The Business Excellence Awards (BEA) is hosted by the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) together with the Solomon Islands Government through the Office of Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The decision was made in order to accommodate Prime Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare’s attendance. Prime Minister Sogavare will deliver his address to the business community that night, as well as hand out the Prime Minister’s Business Excellence Award, thus his attendance at the BEA was a key consideration.

In co-hosting this event with the Prime Minister, the Business Excellence Awards is elevated to now be a symbolic national event as it fosters a shared vision in the sustained economic development of the Solomon Islands.

Attended by business heads and their executive management team as well as donor partners, and national leaders, the Awards event is valued as an opportunity to hear our leader’s vision and plans for the country. Businesses have the opportunity to celebrate successes, acknowledge challenges and finish the calendar year reinforced with strong support from the highest office of the land.

SICCI has had the privilege of coordinating the event on behalf of the Solomon Islands Government since 2013. Thus, this year’s BEA will be the 6th event.

For 2019 the theme for the BEA is ‘Partnerships for a shared future’. This recognises the imperative for stronger collaboration between the private sector and Government together with development partners. This theme captures what we assess is necessary in realising a future prosperous Solomon Islands.

The 2019 BEA will feature three (3) speakers – the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands Honorable Manasseh Sogavare; the Chair of the SICCI Board Mr Jeremy Bartlett, and the Key Note Speaker.

The 2019 BEA is proudly sponsored by: Bank South Pacific (BSP), Australian Government, Strongim Bisnis, Solomon Telekom Ltd, Kokonut Pacific Solomon Islands (KPSI), Coral Sea Resort & Casino, RICOH, Guadalcanal Travel Service, Bred Bank, Island Sun Newspaper, Solomon Star Newspaper, Solbrew, National Provident Fund (NPF), SATSOL, TTV, Sullivans, Millicent Designs, YECSI, Adkonect, GPPOL and DJ Graphics.

Nominations for the Business Excellence Awards are now closed and SICCI is pleased to announce a record number of nominations this year.

There is a limited amount of tickets still available. You can purchase tickets to the BEA by calling the SICCI office on 39542.
