Business Excellence Awards

The Solomon Islands Business Excellence Award honors and recognizes the on-going efforts of businesses to be the best that they can be. This award takes in all industries encompassing manufacturing, retail, commerce, services, agriculture and varied entrepreneurs within the Solomon Islands private sector.

These awards are given to encourage community economic growth, promote local and regional livelihoods and continue to establish the Solomon Islands as a resource of diverse business strengths.

Every year winners are selected in six categories:

• Manufacturing
• Employer of Choice
• Service Delivery
• Innovation & Strategy
• Emerging Business
• Tourism & Hospitality

Community Recognition will also be given for Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Customer Service Excellence and Corporate Citizen of the Year.

A cross-section of more than 70 local businesses and organizations including those from prominent agricultural and rural businesses show their support annually through the Awards Sponsorship program.

We expect the Awards presentation to have a sell-out crowd of over 300 guests attending the formal evening to be held at the Mendana Hotel Court Yard in October 2010. Hosted by well known local radio celebrities, the Court Yard will be transformed into a grand event by the skills of local expertise ranging from catering to fine decorating details.  The event will be taped by local television and broadcast later for home viewers.
