Business Events

The Chamber of Commerce holds a series of business events for its members and also for others who may be interested in the Chamber and its activities. Some of the business events that will be held during the course of the year include:

  • Business Luncheons: The Chamber will hold three (3) Chamber Luncheons in 2010, each with a specific focus on an issue of importance to its members. These are great opportunities for members and invited guest to network.
  • Premium Courses: For the first time, the Chamber of Commerce will hold at least two Premium Courses for business leaders, with a specific focus on high-end management and Chief Executive Officers. Courses are still being developed but will soon be open for registration.
  • ANZ Business-After-5: The Business After 5pm program is brought to you by the ANZ Bank Solomon Islands and is a relaxed opportunity specifically designed for the new businesses in the Solomon Islands and to the Chamber of Commerce. During such events, new companies get the opportunity to invite members into their backyard and share sizzlers and a glass of wine with the opportunity of promoting themselves to the business community.

We are now working towards identifying the next 15 businesses to start the program in September 2012. We invite small and medium business owners to attend a presentation by Mr. John Helsdon, Programme Manager this week.
