Chamber Overview

The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (“SICCI”) is the peak representative organisation for the private sector in Solomon Islands.

SICCI currently has over 75 members as well as a number of affiliations to other national private sector organisations, covering approximately 80% of the Solomon Islands private sector workforce. SICCI continues to be a strong advocate of private sector interests – for both small and large companies alike – and aims to work constructively with the government, the Solomon Islands community and international donor organisations.

SICCI is driven by its vision for the Solomon Islands, its own mission and the values which govern the way it goes about its work.

Scope

SICCI is a national organization, but its membership and services are primarily located in Honiara. While SICCI has obvious ambitions to be truly national, it feels it important to develop a model in Honiara first before expanding it to the provinces. Over time, SICCI plans to extend its operations, and this will become particularly important as tourism grows as a sector in the Solomon Islands.

Currently, SICCI has a full-time CEO, Mr Calvin Ziru.
