SICCI Corporate Governance Services Programme (CGSP) is an AusAid sponsored programme delivered via URS for the Commonwealth of Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) that has established in late 2012 and developmentally took form in 2013 and shaped up into 2014. The CGSP is focused on providing online resources for local people wishing to become qualified in corporate governance roles; providing company director’s training for current board members and aspiring locals who wish to take up board roles; and creating and maintaining a database of local people with training experience to be board members.
The Ministry of Finance Economic Reform Unit in Solomon Islands wishes to implement activities in the business community which aim to improve Corporate Governance generally in the Solomon Islands. Concurrently, the Australian Aid program has an objective of improving governance in the Solomon Islands community. SICCI as a portal to the private sector businesses therefore brought into the forefront of the Corporate Governance development. On this process, it is planned that SICCI would develop a sustained programme, which stretches over a period of three to five years. This would be known as the Corporate Governance Services Programme (CGSP) which focusses on two objectives:

Solomon Islands Small Business Enterprise Centre (SISBEC) was incorporated in 1998 as an NGO with a vision; “to be a catalyst for the development of successful businesses in Solomon Islands.
